Lexi has been growing up before my eyes, with new thoughts and adventures daily. Just a couple days ago, we were in the car and she started displaying her knowledge of the traffic system, saying "red means stop, green means go and yellow means slow down". "Very good Lexi" I replied to my wise 3 1/2 year old. She continued with "and what does purple mean?". I had to burst her bubble with "Honey, there are no purple traffic lights". She was quick to inform me that "we should have purple too". So I had to ask "and what would that mean?". She cheerfully said "everyone get out of your car and dance in the streets together". I laughed hysterically!!
She brought home a picture from school that had a happy face sticker on it. She was describing the picture to me and when she got to the sticker she said "and this is happiness". Ha!!
Lexi thinks the world of her Papa. Right now since I work all day on Wednesdays, she and Kailey go to lunch with Papa and he watches them for the day. I always tell teh girls while they are getting ready for bed each night what the next day holds for them. Tuesday night I tell Lexi that she gets to go to lunch with Papa and Uncle Kyle tomorrow. She excitedly says, "is today tomorrow?". Just can't wait to see her Papa : )
Meals with are an adventure with Lexi in and of themselves. Last evening, she said "Mom, if I swallowed a spider, it would be ticklish". Oh my!!! Yes, but ticklish isn't the reaction I would probably have : ) Too cute!!
I just can't wait to hear what my sweet flower will come up with next ; )
